Sign the Citizens Not Politicians Petition!

The Citizens Not Politicians Amendment, if passed, is expected to put an end to gerrymandering in Ohio. Right now we are collecting signatures on a petition so that the initiative can be on the ballot in November 2024. We need to collect over 1,000 signatures from Knox County, so please stop by our office (9 E Vine Street, Mount Vernon) to ask questions and sign the petition Saturdays and Wednesdays, 11 am to 3 pm, and on Thursdays from 4 pm to 7 pm. For more information on the initiative, here’s a good resource and here’s where you can read the full text.

Upcoming Knox County Democratic Party Executive Committee Meetings

April 23, 2024, 7:00 pm: Knox County Democratic Party Executive Committee. This month’s meeting will be hybrid — held in our office at 9 E Vine Street in Mount Vernon and also via Zoom for anyone unable to attend in person. To request the Zoom link, please email info@knoxcountydems.org.

Fundraising Events

Save the Date! We are planning a Family Picnic on Saturday, August 10, noon to 4 pm in the Gambier Community Park (behind the Gambier Community Center on Meadow Lane).

In the meantime, please remember you can donate to the Knox County Democratic Party at any time, and all donations are very much appreciated. Especially as we start this year of important elections — President, U.S. Senate and Congress, State representatives, Knox County Commissioners, and others — we could really use your help to fund our efforts in assisting candidates up and down the ballot. (Get info about our candidates here.)
