Democrats Gather for a Taste of Ohio and Celebration of County Chairs

Democrats are invited to join U.S. Congressman Zack Space (OH-18), union leader Joe Rugola, and other special guests in celebrating the work of past party chairs at “A Taste of Ohio: Chairmen’s Night.” Scheduled for July 24, the event will be held at the newly launched Vino Where You Live,” Central Ohio’s premiere location for finding the very best in Ohio wine.
The wine and cheese tasting event is a fundraiser for the Knox County Democratic Party. Rep. Space, who will keynote the reception, is running for reelection as congressman of the 18th District. Rugola, who has his finger on the pulse of union issues, will also speak; he is executive director of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE), international vice president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), and president of the Ohio AFL-CIO.
In addition, Kristine Beard, Democratic candidate for Ohio District 5 Court of Appeals, John Ryerson, Democratic candidate for state representative of District 90, and Rebecca Jordan, current Mount Vernon City Councilwoman and candidate for county commissioner, will also address the group.
